Rates are calculated simply as cost divided by volume. But there is much more to it than that. This webinar discusses the key elements to rates modeling, such as:

Two case studies are presented. One is a Shared Services Provider who developed rates based on budgets and successfully billed business units to recover costs. The other is a Federal Government supplier, who must bill everything "to the penny," as required by contract. Both companies used Apptio's Service Costing and Bill of IT to automate the rates modeling process.
