Apptio Demand and Resource Planning
Apptio’s Demand and Resource Planning module helps you manage both the demand and supply side of the IT service equation. The Apptio Demand and Resource Planning module enables business partners to select IT services from a pre-defined list and enter their projected demand over a given period of time. In doing so, your business partners can view their planned Bill of IT for those services and make informed decisions about the consumption and cost of IT services.
On the supply side, Apptio enables IT service managers to decompose the demand for their IT service offerings into subservices and resources (e.g., hardware, software, labor) through a powerful service hierarchy (including a visual model). This allows service managers to anticipate their resource requirements and stay one step ahead of the business. Apptio also enables service managers to compare expected demand against current and planned inventory levels. This ensures that service managers can meet the demand for services without the unnecessary overprovisioning of resources.
