We are thrilled to announce Britt Provost as the newest addition to the Apptio family as VP of People and Culture.

Britt will be responsible for leading Human Resources and helping us maintain our cultural values as we scale to making Apptio as the de facto platform for managing the business of IT across customers of all sizes and verticals.

Scaling Apptio to the next phase requires adding key talent in all functions of the organization – the next set of people have an even bigger responsibility in Apptio's growth. Britt will focus on maintaining our high hiring standards by identifying and hiring talent who will raise the bar at Apptio in their function and across the company.

She will be responsible for our onboarding program ensuring that new employees have a positive and smooth integration into the company. She will ensure they get indoctrinated into the “Apptian” way – we want all employees to live and breathe Apptio culture. Also, she’ll coach executives and managers to help them be effective leaders. Each of these areas is critically important to me as Apptio continues to grow. Our customers, employees and culture make Apptio the incredible company we are today and will shape the company we will be tomorrow.

Britt is the type of person you feel proud to have on your team. She is experienced, motivated, and passionate - all things that I am confident will continue driving success at Apptio. We chose her based on her track record. Britt has over 15 years of experience leading HR teams in all aspects of the function, and across a number of business sectors. She brings with her a well-rounded background in HR strategy and an overall expertise in development and execution of HR operations. With a strong capability in coaching and advising executives and employees on connection and culture, we are confident that Britt’s talents will be of great value.

Prior to joining Apptio, Britt was VP of Global Services Lines and Corporate Functions at Avanade, where she led the HR team to support all corporate functions and the line of business leadership. One of her key accomplishments there was developing, managing, and executing the All Employee Survey. While at Avanade she also gained global experience from leading the HR team for the APAC region for several years. This will be invaluable to us as we continue to expand our global footprint.

Britt also held leadership positions at RealNetworks as the Director of Human Resources and Microsoft as the Senior Manager of Human Resources. In all of her HR roles, Britt has been a champion for growing manager skills and capability, and designed and delivered curriculum to support these efforts.  She is an MBA-graduate from the University of Colorado at Denver and is a Washington native.

Outside of work, Britt is very involved in the Mona Foundation, which focuses on education for girls worldwide. She has traveled to Haiti with the program as an advocate and hopes to go to Molokai next to see a program the organization is currently supporting. She is also a beach enthusiast who loves to travel (Ireland is her current destination of choice) and maven of all things Pacific Northwest!

Britt comes into this role as our previous VP, Carmen Cook, transitions into an executive coaching role with Apptio. Carmen has asked for a role that would allow her more flexibility and cut down her commute from Whidbey Island.  She’s been instrumental in growing Apptio to where we are today so we are excited we could support her, yet also keep her apart of the Apptio family.

We look forward to the work Britt is sure to do and warmly welcome her to Apptio!
